  Willy's Red Ant, aka Gladys

Willy's Red Ant, aka Gladys Darlene Koncak used this Chernobyl variation to become the first women ever to win the One Fly. This low riding dry fly bug was designed by Moose, Wyoming fly tier Will Dornan. While tied with a bright red dubbed body, the distinctive white antron wing highlights this fly and makes it very visible to the angler. A black foam body helps the Gladys float well and brings large cutthroat to the net. A simple effective pattern, the Gladys been a favorite among the guides of Jackson Hole over the past few years. Most anglers find that moving the fly with controlled jerks will bring larger fish and definitely will bring more action.
